Ham Fried Rice

  • 1 Ham steak cubed
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 Cup white rice
  • 2 Cups water
  • 2-3 eggs (scrambled)
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • Soy sauce

Put the water and rice in a saucepan. Add a few shakes of salt. Heat on high until it comes to a boil. Turn to low, cover with a snug lid and simmer around 17 minutes. Don’t peek while simmering. After the 17 min. remove from heat and fluff with a fork. If it seems not quite ready, put the lid back on (keep off the heat) for another 3-5 minutes. Chop the onions and fry them in oil on medium high heat. Add the ham and stir-fry awhile. Add the frozen peas, then the eggs. Mix this with the cooked rice. Add soy sauce to taste.
