Aunt Norda's Fudge

3 Cups sugar
3/4 Cup Blue Bonnet Margarine
2/3 Cup evaporated milk
1 12 oz. package Nestles semi-sweet Chocolate chips
1 7 oz. jar marshmallow creme
1 generous tsp vanilla
3/4 to 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional). {please, no}

Combine sugar margarine and milk in sauce pan.  Bring to a full rounded boil while stirring constantly.  Boil 5 minutes - STIRRING THE WHOLE TIME.  Remove from heat and while still hot stir in chocolate chips and whip until no lumps are showing.  Then add marshmallow creme and whip again until there are no signs of white.  (This whipping is what makes the fudge nice and creamy.). Add vanilla (and nuts?) and pour into prepared 9 x 13 pan.  It will set up as it cools.
