Deliciously Easy Homemade Rolls

Scald 1 ½ cups milk,

Stir in 2 cubes butter-cut into chunks

2 cups sugar and 1 ½ tsp salt

Set aside to cool, but keep stirring to get the butter as melted as possible, it doesn’t have to be completely melted to add to the other mixture.

Meanwhile, mix well in a medium bowl:

4 T SAF instant yeast, ½ cup warm water, ½ tsp sugar. Leave for 10 minutes.

Beat 4 eggs. Beat in the milk mixture. Mix in 4 cups flour. Stir in the yeast mixture. Add 3 cups flour, mixing well after each cup. Let rest for 10 minutes. Mix again. Dump into a large Tupperware bowl sprayed with Pam. Cover and let rise till double, about an hour. Punch down. Let rise about 10 minutes more, then start shaping the rolls.

On a well floured surface, divide the dough into 2 sections. Roll each section into a large circle. Spread with melted butter. Cut into triangles. Roll each triangle up from the fat side. Shape into a crescent roll. Put on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 13-18 minutes.
