Snickerdoodles

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cream shortening, add sugar & eggs & beat until light & fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients & stir in. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts & roll in 2 tsp cinnamon and 2 T sugar mixed. Place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 min.
