Green Beans Amandine

1 pound fresh green beans
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 T. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. season salt (or Kosher salt)

Wash and trim beans, cut into 2" pieces. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, drain. Cook almonds with the butter in a skillet until brown. Stir in lemon and salt then add beans.

Options: Add some tarragon and/or fresh ground pepper
