Peppermint Popcorn

Ingredients



  • 1/2 C unpopped popcorn (approximately 16 cups popped)

  • 2 C white chocolate chips

  • 1/2 C crushed candy canes

  • a dash of salt

Pop the popcorn. Then take the candy canes and place them in a ziplock bag to finely crush, using a rolling pin. In a heat proof bowl, carefully melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent scorching. It took around 1 1/2 minutes. In a very large bowl drizzle the chocolate evenly over the popcorn. Then quickly sprinkle the crushed candy canes and a dash of salt over the top of the popcorn, and stir vigorously before the chocolate starts to set up. Once it is evenly coated, spread the popcorn out over wax paper in a thin layer and allow to cool. When the popcorn is completely cool and dry break up into small pieces.
