Sugar Cookies


  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 T. baking soda
  • 1 lb. Margarine
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 6 + cups flour
1-Add soda to buttermilk and let sit. 
2-Cream together margarine, sugar, extracts, and eggs. 
3-Add buttermilk and flour to the mixture, mix. 
4-Refrigerate over night (or at least a couple hours).
5-Roll out, cut and bake at 375 for 5 to 6 minutes. These will puff up. 
6- Frost when cooled.
